Parenting 101

I wish there was a parenting 101 class that was available, complete with a handbook. And in that handbook there would be chapters on basic childcare, how to handle throw-up, potty-training basics for toddlers to teenagers (really all the way to grown men, too), the first lie, important life lessons, how to handle your son's first break-up, and sooooo many more. One chapter that I need right now is how to handle disappointment... how to accept that your child's poor choices can have serious consequences, to witness your child understanding the seriousness of the consequences and living with them, and more importantly... as a parent to forgive and move on.
