Today Caden and I had the opportunity to show our support to the family of a fallen soldier from Amarillo. A 20 year old lost his life several days ago while serving our country.
I thought it was important for Caden to understand the sacrifice that our heroes make everyday. A 20 year old... a son, a husband (of less than a year), and a father of a 7 week old baby girl sacrificed his life for us so that we may live in a safer world.
The sound of silence as the procession drove by was nothing like I've ever witnessed. To see the community lined up and down Coulter street was amazing.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of our hometown hero.
